Kavner Senior Portrait Session

I love taking senior portraits because seniors always have a great time during portrait sessions. A typical situation often begins with seniors being a little bit shy, but by the end of the session, they're telling me about their future plans and are really into posing and getting the best shots possible. That was not the case with the Kavner triplets. There was no warm up necessary; they were ready to go from the beginning. All three of the Kavner's were very photogenic. Best of all had great senses of humor and made the session really enjoyable. Another great senior session in the bag!

Erica and Chauncey's Engagement Session

Erica and Chauncey came to me with some great ideas for their engagement session. They knew they wanted to use a photo for their save-the-date, so we made sure to get an amazing shot for that purpose. They loved the look of Cranbrook (as do a lot of couples) so we went there for the session. Even though the session wasn't that long and we stayed at one location, we managed to get a lot of varied photos. Can you guess which photo was used for their save-the-date?

Tricia and Russ' Wedding

The big day finally came for Tricia and Russ to say "I Do!" The two had a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary's of Rockwood. The church didn't even need any decorations because of how ornate it looked inside. After the ceremony, the wedding party took a limo to Elizabeth Park in Trenton for some quick photos before heading to the reception at the Fisher Building in Detroit. I didn't even know that the Fisher Building was available for wedding receptions, but it turned out to be a fantastic and unique venue. The wedding went long into the evening and it was pretty obvious that everyone had a great time. Good eats, good beats, and a newly married couple! Just another summer Saturday in the D!

Christina and Andrew's Wedding

Christina and Andrew got married on a beautiful Saturday in September at the Wheatfield Bed and Breakfast in Williamston, Michigan. The ceremony was held outside under the shade of a large tree and the reception took place inside the Inn. Everyone from the officiant to the DJ to the dress maker was friends with Christina or Andrew, so it was an honor for them to choose me to be their photographer, even though we hadn't met before our engagement session. We had an opportunity to take some fun formals and then the party got underway. It was truly one of my favorite weddings of the season. What a great way for the two of them to start their lives together as husband and wife.
