I was fortunate to be invited to photograph Amy and Paul's bridal shower at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. It was a chilly Michigan winter's day, but it didn't matter because the sun was shining and the shower was held in a gorgeous room overlooking Lake St. Clair. The shower was beautifully decorated with fantastic floral centerpieces and custom decorations that had Amy and Paul's wedding date printed on them. The guests also were able to indulge in some delicious home made chocolates and everyone left with a custom-packaged bar of soap for their own showers (clever shower favor!). As can be expected, everyone looked fantastic. Since the War Memorial is an elegant and historic building from 1910, I decided to edit the photos with a vintage touch, rather than the usual bright and vivid look that I customarily apply to my images.
Amy and Paul met each other through mutual friends at a party a few years ago will be getting married this summer. Paul was the only guy at the the bridal shower (other than myself) and was clearly outnumbered by his female guests. He had a great time though and did a fantastic job being there for his bride-to-be. Everyone seemed to have a fun time, as I think the photos demonstrate. Best wishes to the happy couple!
